I bought the genuine Yamaha saddlebags, but one fell off on the highway with a load of gear in it.
The road had to be closed whilst it was recovered. The bag became unzipped and the velcro wasn't strong enough to hold it, so off it came. :eek:ops_sign:Ruined it.
Now use "throw over" bags which hold more stuff anyway. Yam bags were small internally anyway. Not the best IMO. Didn't want to keep them on the bike all the time either.

Bags mounted with 2 nuts.

Had this set up on my bike:

How about threading the bolts through from the inside of the fender with the saddle bag support mounted on the inside also. This would allow for the saddle bags to be unbolted with the two bolts on the inside of the bags.
