I had a long… yet fruitful conversation with the top “techie” from Yamaha USA .

All Raiders are created and painted initially with a black base coat.

After the base coat dries, they are painted either Blue, or Red.

Prior to releasing them for shipment they are tested behind the facility to ensure they are in “working order”. As part of their testing, they have a tendency to race one against the other... not always... but sometimes.

Because the red ones are much faster than the blue, they tend to suck the paint off the blue ones leaving them with only their black base coat… and occasionally, even suck off some of the base coat (hence the black jagged lines that show up on some of the red ones).

So.. according to Yamaha USA, The RED ones are the fastest, followed by the blue ones and, as I said, the blacks one were blue until... well.. you know.

I just though I might clear up all the “guessing” going around as which color was the fastest. hehehe

LET THE REPARTEE BEGIN!!! :ricky:

Those RC wheels are sweet. They actually make the black Raider look fast. Imagine how they'll look on a red one like mine ;D

I don't think you 'S's get it!!!
Every Raider starts as a black Raider.
So regardless of what color it ends up with there's a Raven carrying a candy 'S' Red or a Blue 'S'.

It's just ain't right.
That's probably the reason they've got a tow rope on there likek coyoyte said.
