I'm about to install my chrome belt guards and I had a couple of questions.
Did anyone take out the bottom guard and then install the new chrome belt guard?
Or did everyone just but the new chrome guard over the old one?

Also the instructions say to drill a hole through the old belt guard as part of the installation to install the new one.
Any issue's with this?

the deal is that the new lower belt gaurd goes over the old cause to pull the lower belt gaurd you have to remove the rear tire, the drilling of the hole is proply in the old lower to give the chrome lower some where to mount ;D

You got it, drill the hole and use the nut and bolt provided. On the new lower belt guard there is a couple pieces of double sided tape. Be sure to clean the existing belt guard before putting on the new one. Also, I didn't like the fact that there were only 2 small pieces, so I added a couple stripes.
