    Default 240 rear tire fits

to the forum. Yes the 240 will fit the stock rim, many of the members are running with them. Search the threads there's lots of discussions
and info about what brand names are preferred.

    cheers

in fact i saw the bottom plastic belt protector (the part where you can see belt adjustement) is really close with my 210, is the 240 will pass?

Yes a 240 will fit with no mods at all. There are even some running a 250 on stock set up. The 240 Avon seems to be the tire of choice on the raider, the Dunlop e3 240 is the cheapest option. A 240 will handle better. That plastic belt guard is worthless just so you know, the fact that it has a measure spot for the belt is its only value... Most remove it as its so flemsy it couldn't protect against anything anyway

I have a 240 Avon on mine and love it . 240 should be what comes on these not the 210. . At present I have 1900 miles on the Avon Looks brand new . my 210 was over 1/2 gone by that milage. I installed a Avon on front yesterday almost 200 on it. I think I have found the tire brand for the Raider.

I have put same set up on mine. Love the way the 240 looks and feels. Found best pricing at denniskirk.com using beat it buy a buck option

I don't have a picture with the plastic belt guard because I removed that piece of junk off of mine, but I know plenty of people that left it on with a 240. Your wheel is the same width so this tire isn't going to be much wider on the same wheel. It handles better because it curves more where the 210 is nearly flat. We have a odd width wheel. Our 7.5 inch wheel is too wide for a 210 which makes the tire flat, but our rim isn't quite wide enough for a 240, since the optimum wheel width for a 240 is a 8-8.5 inch wide, so it kind of balloons. But it handels10x better. Yes the 240 will be about a inch taller which corrects the speedo, if you gps yourself now your speedo will be off by a few mph...

Their is no clearence problem. This mod is I would say 2nd to changing the worlds ugliest exhaust system . Yahama made 2 mistakes on Raider exhaust and the 210 tire. You speedometer will be closed to true with the 240. Its off now .
Some have went as high as the 250 tire . That one is tight. 240 fits fine. Stop being a worry wart and install the 240 join the club and be happy.
