    Default Say your prayers

If you own a Yamaha it is imperative to give thanks every morning for the machine you are allowed to own.

Consider that some of us own other brands (we are also married - great moments of madness) - one in particular, by a motorcar manufacturer who do not always get the car thing right, but certainly not the motorbike thing. Yet they seem to convince Yuppies, Buppies and Lombards to buy????

You will find old Yamaha mechanics who have never replaced certain parts on a Yamaha, whilst all young mechanics from some brands have replaced such a part on their brand.

In my case you also have to deal with the Sh...es 1st to 2nd gear shift in the business, maybe in the history of biking. You need a) strong left ankle muscles b) decent boot c) calouses on the gear shift part of the upper left foot. d) Lots and lots of patience, training and experience to understand and perform the 2 stage process of forcing the gearbox into neutral and then into 2nd. You still miss it every time a Golf GTI, Subaru, Mitsubishi Evo, or Wig wearing man in AMG Mercedes needs to be tought a lesson.

I do not blame them for the leaking valve (tyre), 2 hrs and R 200 I lost today, but I am seeking your sympathy - I also have a R 17 000 bill (tomorow morning) on the Pajero. Even if I have to sell the house, this one I pay with a smile, 256000 km and going strong. I have had the wheelbearing checked annually for 3 years and are assured they do not need replacement. On my first BMW I had to replace wheelbearings at 68 000 km???

Love you all and please appreciate your Yamaha

Yes, you have my sympathy for your large bill and limited pleasurable experience from your non Yamaha brand.
I am also thankful for my blissful and heavenly Yamaha experiences.
