    Default Rear Tires

I'm Not very happy with the look of the low profile rear tire on the Raider. Does anyone know if a conventional type tire fit the Raider if so what size.
    Thanks,
    Charlie

There are a large number of tire threads on this site. I believe this is the latest. http://www.mybikeforums.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=25990

I don't belive you going to find a conventional type tire fit the Raider . You got a 7 1/2 in wide wheel Not made for skinny tires You might look into a car tire I know some people run them I think that not a good idea but Iam no expert.

I saw a 50 series tire on dennis kirk but I don't think it was a 210. I think it was wider and that profile made the circumference a lot more. I'd be concerned about the tire hitting something or rubbing something.

    Here it is
    $268.15
Avon Rear Cobra AV72 240/50VR-16 Blackwall Tire

    Compared to a 240/40-16:
    .94 greater sidewall height
    1.89" greater overall diameter
    5.94" greater circumference
    63.57 fewer revolutions per mile
If speedo read 70.21 with the 40 series, it would read 65 with the 50 series

240 Avon is about the best.

nobody anywhere went to a narrower tire.
don't worry ... your bike will look and handle fine :-)

I wondered why those 16s were so tough to mount! Kidding, you're right, 18". My mistake.

Not all that hard cut and fill in gap with duck tape Fill up with fix a flat. You will get a smacking noise when riding, but will get used to it.
