Hello all,
i am new to the site and i'm in need of some help. First things first i ride a 1999 Vstar 1100 custom. I removed the rear wheel to replace the tire and also instal a progressive spring.
The problem: I went to re-install the assembly and all went well until i tried to tighten the axle nut. In the manual it calls for 77 ft lb on that nut. I'm not getting anywhere close to that and the wheel hub is binding with the gear case. The binding is so severe that it locks the rear wheel. The manual doesnt say to tighten the two nuts on the right side of the swingarm until after you tighten the axle nut. this doesnt seem right to me. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
