    Default Milo's Last Ride

Here is the Poem Tom read.

    "Milo McKinley

    January 10, 1944 - October 5, 2010

My hands are clenched around chrome bars.
The engine's rumble sounds so sweet.
I twist the throttle with my palm.
The world slips by beneath my feet.

    The slapping of my leathers
and raging winds on either side,
drum a beat of sweet contentment
as I ride this....my last ride.

    Alone on my tin pony,
to the heavens I've been called
but fret not, my dear loved ones,
I'm not lonely here at all.

The landscape is now just a blur
as tears stream from my eyes.
My bike and I leap forward,
    off into the calling skies.

I hope I touched your lives one day
    and left a treasured mark.
    Now I ride onto FOREVER,
with your memory in my heart. "

I'm such a sap, Jack... I wish I had seen these words when I spread my Brother's ashes... really! Thanks Tom... I think you spoke these written words aloud, so that souls like Milo's CDollars, Pam Llewellyn's voices were heard.

Not to take a heartbeat of moment to those that love Milo... but to all of us who lost a Brother or Sister, or partner to ride to the next level.....

    Thanks!

I don't know who wrote the Poem, Laura handed it to Tom. Great piece from whomever did author it.

No way I could have read it in front of folks, I get choked-up reading it alone, it really exemplifies Milo.
