    Default Rider Milo Passed

    Rider Milo Passed
I just spoke with Laura about 1/2 hour ago.
Took me a bit to settle down enough to post this.
Milo Passed about 0330 this morning. His pain was horrible, and the Morphine drip just barely helped. He's not hurting now.

RIP Milo my friend, I feel so blessed to have known you and ridden with you.

Laura said per Milo's request, there won't be a super Religious service. There will be a Celebration of Milo's Life, sometime during Biketoberfest.

All the arrangements/details for that will be announced and published as they are firmed-up.

Laura, Kelly and Candice, please know that Pam and I Love you Dearly. Anything we can assist with please let us know.

This is indeed not a happy day. I had the chance to meet and ride with Milo at DAB in 2006 for a couple of days - great guy - super interesting and a gentleman to top it off.

Laura and family - our condolences - Milo put up a valiant fight for so long - he is an inspiration - hopefully he is visiting and laughing with our friends Pam, Dave and Curt.... He was determined to fight it to the end. At least he can rest easy - have that broad smile back and watchover us for the rest of our time.

I had the privilege to talk to Milo quite often about problems he was having with his bike. He always said when we get together lunch is on me.
We met in Dyersburg and he was a gracious host to Cozaey and myself. Cozaey said he was sure a sweet fellow and very kind.
When I told her this morning she had some very sad minutes and said he is one person she will remember forever.
Our condolence to the family and all his personal friends because someone like Milo has many.

Today is a day of reflection - great memories of Milo and of he and Laura.

I'll never forget our group trip during Bike Week when we rode down near the NASA facility, found a back road and several hooligans lit it up (over and over again). Also, Milo was gracious enought to video tape one of the Iron Horse burnouts and mail it off to me. That video has been on youtube for several years now with a thank-you to Milo for his help.

    We're gonna miss you BUD!

Very sad to read this news indeed. My condolences to Laura and the rest of their families. I've had the pleasure of meeting Milo on 2 occasions and found him to be an exceptionally nice man and a pleasure to talk to. The world will not be the same without him. He fought a long tough battle.......

Milo, you take care, and save a good seat for us when we are called home... I wish I had the opportunity to shake hands, share beers, or puzzle over fixes with you over these wonderfully crazy machines we all share. Watch this thread, and others, keep us in your thoughts as we will with you. Keep the magic alive! Thanks for your awesome posts, and I really wish I had a chance to meet you. You're in good hands now!

And Jack, I'm guessing you are loved by Milo and his family like YOU are part of their family, thankyou for carrying the load of reporting this sad news. You are a true soldier!

Laura, I wish you strength during this crazy time.... My prayers go out to you, your family, and certainly Milo.

    Take care....

Glad Milo is pain free. Met Milo Easter Sunday a couple of years ago in Tampa Florida when Giancarlo, Barbara and I came out there for a visit. Milo was a cool guy and one never had a clue that he had been struggling with cancer for so long.

our thoughts and prayers are with his friends here and all his family.

Any thoughts on moving this thread to the Fore front in General column, Adrian, I too think more would see it, It's certainly worthy of 'V8 bike' chatter... meaning, it IS related to V8 bikes. Like other's have said... a long time rider/poster such as Milo was... would be worthy of news spread where more visit...

    Just a thought.

God speed Milo. Now you can really rest in peace.

I met Milo through my good friend Jack P. I have
talked to Milo by phone several times. Always
looked forward to Daytona Bike Week to see him
and his family again. His daughter was a waitress
at one of the places we rode to for a lunch.
A better friend no one could ask for.
Condolences to the family and friends.

    Default Milo's Care Page

    Folks,
Thanks for recommending this thread come to the General section, I agree it will have Greater visibility, and Thank you Adrian for moving it, I dare not attempt that with this cell and risk losing a message.

I'm going to add a link here to the thread Milo's Care Page.
Candice, their youngest had suggested I open a separate care page and include the password.

I had just accomplished that this AM before Laura called with the news of Milo's passing. These Care pages will stay active as long as folks continue to utilize and update them.

Please consider using my link to view Milo's page. Laura and the girls have posted many lovely photos showing a small window into the celebration of Milo's life. I'm not sure how many people are aware, Milo was a key Space Shuttle Quality Control Inspector, yet maintained the most down to Earth demeaner of anyone I've had the pleasure of knowing and riding with.

Of course you may make appropriate posts on his Care Page as well. Its basically a centralized location Laura, the girls, family and friends can interact during times of grave need. If you encounter any problems with my link, or being unable to read from or post to, please contact me, 321-426-5243.

    Thank you all
