Self cancelling turn signals

OK so I installed an integrated tail light from Custom led and the blinker relay....all is working well besides the self cancelling feature which I thought I could overcome but, it starting to bother me as I can't remember to turn it off and it could present danger as someone could think I'm turning but I'm not.
So I'm thinking of installing a load equalizer intead and putting the stock blinker relay back in. The question I have is do I have to put one in for the back and the front??? (as I'm ordering my front stealth blinker soon) I was going to order this Universal 7.5 Ohm Metric Turn Signal Load Equalizer from http://www.customdynamics.com/loadequalizer.htm

Why did you install the blinker relay? Use the OEM relay.

The OEM relay has the self cancel timer built into it and gets its signal from the VSS lead for self cancel. If the aftermarket relay is not a self cancel type relay, which I suspect it isn't, it will not automatically shut off the signals.

You will need a load equalizer for front and back LED signals in order to maintain the proper line load to the OEM relay for self cancel signals to work.

Trust me, I've worked on the self cancel feature in great detail to solve failure to shut off issues from it on the Electronic Cruise Control Kit we sell.

Thanks Chilly I replaced it cause it was easy and thought I could just change that and it would take care of front and back. I didn't think them not self cancelling was a big deal but, it really bothers me now. Are the Load Equalizers I mentioned the right ones??

Turn Signal Load Equalizer, part# DS-272236, $26.99

My Yamaha mechanic installed this device, handed me my Custom LED blinder relay that he removed. Everything has worked great since.

I was also getting that odd noise from my engine but that ended as soon as the change was made to the load equalizer.

Not sure where he put it. I learned a valuable lesson with my integrated tail light project...that I don't know squat about wiring and should leave it to the professionals.
