Default Our trip to the Dragon

All I can say is the Roadglide performed even better than expected. She did everything great and handled the twisty's with surprising ease. I averaged 48mpg both highway and backroads. Hands down the best bike I have ever had and never see myself getting rid of her. I now have 4500 great miles.

Nice pics. I hope to hit the gap this summer, I'm only about 300 miles away.

I highly recommend it, easily the best trip I have ever taken. You gotta check out Grandfather mountain also. There are so many great roads down there I can't even remember them all. Riding through the Pisgah national forrest all the way to route 11 in S.C. was just as much fun as the dragon. We truly live in a very beautiful country.

We are on the west coast and we rode it this summer , It was fun and the food was great . But I have to say after riding the twisties in Cen Cal. The Dragon is not all they made it out to be . Don't take me wrong I enjoyed it and it was some of the smoothest road I found back east , But if you can ever make it to the west coast DO IT... Hwy 49 and Hwy 1 should be on your bucket if you like twisties. We have four bikes now and we have sold three this year . Our 2003 Road King has 24,*** and is the bike I ride when we take of on road trips I can pack it down with all are camping gear and roll.
Around town and day trips I ride a Raider. the HD is for two up and long hauls....

Default If you like the Dragon's Tail....

You'll love Iron Mountain Road near Sturgis SD. Much more scenic and fun to ride and has several tunnels with Mt. Rushmore in view as you ride thru them. It's close to Custer, Needles Hiway, Badlands, Crazy Horse, Wildlife Game Reservation and the Pig Tail Bridges.

Very nice bro, you have 2 of the 4 bikes I have ever owned. The mean streak and the raider... I miss them both especially my Green Meanie. I hope kawi boosts up the engine on it and brings it back. the raider is a beast and I would love to have another someday. I hear alot of the roads in CA are very crowded but I would love to get out there someday.

I wouldn't mind riding tail of the dragon either. The only thing is I think I'd be wary of someone on a speed bike nailing me from behind or french kissing a semi coming around a corner.

Default Depending on where you live....

There's many roads in this great country of ours that shame the Dragon's Tail, and don't have the wack jobs on it trying to cheat death at all times.

WE are talking about heading back down that way this summer around july 4th. I think we may try to get all the way down into Florida and come back up through Alabama.. Then again we may head over to Niagara falls and do some riding up north..who knows all I know is I am siked : ).. Got to ride last weekend and it was awesome. Who would have thought we would be riding in NH on Mar 6th??? More global warming please

Damn, lost my hard drive last week and all the pictures are gone... I will buy an external hard drive now and back up my stuff. Lesson learned.

Bright side is I will probably head back to the dragon this year to take some pics
