    Took the truck and trailered the bike with both dogs and the wife on a run thru yellowstone, the tetons and montana,eastern oregon.
    We found a road listed as number 15 all time best mc routes, hwy 3 from enterprise , or to clarkston,wa would have to agree.....

    waitin for the sun,Portland style. The raider is gettin its fair share of down time as evidenced by a low battery and a new problem-fowling the rear plugs once in a while. Three of the four are simple to get to, why did they make the back right such a bitch?removing the tank seems like a lot of work. 8900 miles on the speedo guess I'll break down and do a full plug change.

  3. The Joy of having training wheels

    First day of September. We have been having daily high temps of near 90F -- it is about 75F today, my wife really likes the mid 70's, I'm happiest with late 80's, early 90's. She is going to be happier than me for the next few months.

    I thought that the Honda and caught some strange BSA or AMF Harley ailment. Every time I brought it home, a dime sized puddle of red oil appeared under the front brake caliper.

    Attachment 24Summer started late for us in the Pacific Northwest..... about the 5th of july. Up till then it was nothin but rain, with a few scattered ridin days thrown in for a tease.
    But hey, if its worth havin,its worth waitin for-75 to 83 in the afternoon,high 50s at night,no rain for a month now...
    Bought my 1st new back tire a week ago,went with the stock 880,8600 on the bike right at two years out.... I know,but hey, this is portland

  5. DRIVING a Motorcycle is NOT A BAD THING.

    Here it is the middle of July, it's about 93F and partly cloudy. Looks like we might have a bit of a thunderstorm this afternoon. I had the trike out for about 100 miles this morning -- didn't scare myself at all.

    A couple of observations:

    Lots of people in passing cars do a double take when they realize it isn't JUST A SCOOTER.

    People in parking lots ask questions.

    I haven't had this much fun answering them since the Swing was new. ...
