Pipes for M50

Does anyone have any experience with aftermarket pipes for the M50? The bike belongs to my wife. She wants more bark to the sound of the bike and it could do with a bit of power boost. I've seen some nice looking Cobra pipes made for the M50. Has anyone fitted them? Will it need a fuel controller fitted to compensate for new pipes?
